To understand the evolution of exercise we have to understand from what lifestyle we evolved. As hunter-gathers it is estimated that early humans would cover 16 or more miles a day. The need for cardiorespiratory fitness is obvious as one could not survive without it. The more ground you could cover the more oppertunites for food, water and shelter. There was also a need for muscle fitness, a strong core as well as good posture and sound movement mechanics. There were no sidewalks so almost every step early humans made was across uneven ground. Their balanced body gave them quicker reaction time, improved joint stability and a lower risk of injury.

ONE-ON-ONE PERSONAL TRAINING

Your Body is Designed To Move!

Because the modern world leads us to a sedentary lifestyle, most of us don't move as much as we need to reap the many health benefits of cardiorespiratory exercise. We also don't do resistance training that helps increase our resting metabolic rate and physical capacity. The modern lifestyle requires us to spend much of our day sitting, whether at desks or in our cars. Our muscles adjust to the seated position and then cause imbalances that lead to poor posture, dysfunctional  movement, pain and sometimes injury.

The good news is through proper training we can counteract the effects of the modern lifestyle. We can improve posture, movement patterns, muscular strength and cardiorespiratory fitness. It's time to work on your body, mind and spirit, and get back to what nature intended you to be. You were designed to move.
